The Management, Control & Oversight of Contractors and Leaseholders Department (MCOCL’s) are based on the Sellafield Site. The group ensures that Sellafield Ltd is compliant with all legislation affecting the use of subcontractors such as the Health and Safety at Work Act its supplementary regulations including CDM Regulations and Site Licence conditions, and the sites management arrangements to meet these requirements.
Head of Management, Control & Oversight of Contractors & Leaseholders
The Head of Management, Control & Oversight of Contractors & Leaseholders role is to manage the department, which centrally develops, implements, audits, reviews standards and procedures and undertakes assurance activities of all contractors at Sellafield Managed sites, to ensure compliance.
Superintending Officers (SO) Standards and Engineering Manager’s
The role is to ensure the day to day management of contractors in a wide range of disciplines across the business – this includes training, managing the control and command of Superintending Officer’s and ensuring effective site emergency arrangements are in place for contractors.
Industrial Relations Manager
The role is to ensure that contractor industrial relations issues do not adversely affect Sellafield operations, by resolving issues between Sellafield Ltd and its contractors at a site wide agreement level, maintaining local employment, liaising and contributing at both regional and national levels on industrial relations policy issues.
The Safety Manager
The role is to carry out assurance activities to ensure the safety management system for all contractors on Sellafield Managed Sites is adhered to. To provide an effective operational experience feedback network to ensure learning is shared across the contractor community.
